    Fernando from Sao Paulo Asked

Hello. I'll go Disney on New Years Eve with my family (2 adults and 2 children). What do you recommend to do on New Year's day? Is there any particular restaurant making reservations? Thanks,

    Hi Fernando,

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. First, I want you to know that we have Disney Parks Moms Panel in Portuguese. Next time ask us in our own language. For New Year’s Eve, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios each have special fireworks shows. The Magic Kingdom also does its New Year’s Eve fireworks show, Fantasy in the Sky, on December 30. On both of these nights, it also shows Holiday Wishes before the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Epcot also shows Illuminations twice on New Year’s Eve, with the earlier showing only having the holiday “Peace on Earth” finale, and the second showing being the New Year’s Eve version. You could watch the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasy in the Sky fireworks on December 30, it's going to free you to go to Epcot next day.  It's going to be very crowded and you should arrive early and stay late. Having FastPass+ for attractions and a reservation inside the park for one of the restaurants won't guarantee that you are going to enter, if you decide to show up late. I tend to recommend Epcot for New Year's and you should try to eat until 4:00 p.m. Later prepare your family for staying in a spot to see the fireworks. It's already to close to try for reservations but there are always cancellation and with luck you maybe score a reservation at Biergarten Restaurant, Le Cellier Steakhouse or at Monsieur Paul. Those are the best restaurants for me to have a meal at this day.

    Have a magical trip!
