    Karen from MD Asked

Hello, I am trying to make reservations for my party of 4. Nothing was available for that amount. How can you change party size and get staggering times. I was able to select for party of 1 and am unable to select another without cancelling original.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen! You’re going to have so much fun during your Holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! It’s my family’s favorite time of year to visit!

I totally have been where you are when it comes to dining reservations. Sometimes, reservations for larger parties just aren’t available when we’re looking for them. Making a reservation for one person doesn’t really solve the problem, because when you arrive to the restaurant, they may not be able to accommodate your party of 4 when your reservation is for one.

Karen, I’m so sorry you’re not able to get what you’re needing right now, but you can always check back to see if there is more availability on a later date. Lots of times, guests modify or cancel dining reservations right before their vacation, so it’s very possible that you’ll be able to snag your coveted reservation if you check back often.

I have a few restaurants that are my go-to’s. Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge seems to have more availability when I book last minute trips. Kona Café at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is also a delicious option with more availability. Biergarten Restaurant at Epcot’s World Showcase is a family favorite, especially during Christmastime, and reservations are easier to come by.

I hope I’ve been able to answer your question. Don’t hesitate to come back to see us if you have any additional questions. Helping you with the details of your next magical visit is our pleasure!
