Hello I will be travelling to Walt Disney World in May 2020 with a 6 year old and 5 month old. In your opinion can we still enjoy WDW with an infant? Thank You

Hi Lisa! My family and I visited Walt Disney World Resort when my youngest son was just 4 months old. While there are some extra considerations to plan for when traveling with an infant, my family had a wonderful vacation and I think yours will too! Babies at that age are quite portable and easy to travel with; in my opinion, much easier than a stubborn toddler or moody teen! Walt Disney World Resort is also incredibly accommodating for guests of all ages, including infants and their families.

There are many attractions you can all enjoy together. I have filtered this list of attractions for "Any Height". You may further filter the list by using the drop-down menu in the upper left to select a particular Theme Park. You are welcome to hold your infant for any of these attractions. Of course you can also enjoy entertainment together, such as shows, parades, and fireworks. Your infant is most welcome at character greeting experiences  and character dining locations.

If there are rides and attractions you would like to enjoy that are not suitable for your infant, take advantage of Rider Switch service. This allows an adult to wait with your infant while the rest of the family enjoys the attraction. When they return, the waiting party can then enjoy the attraction without waiting in line again.  As a bonus, your 6-year-old can be issued a Rider Switch entitlement so they can ride twice, once with each adult! I always used this time waiting to take care of baby's feeding or changing needs.

Speaking of feeding and changing, the Baby Care Centers are absolutely wonderful! You'll find everything you need to take care of your infant, as well as a small shop with baby essentials.

Because the Walt Disney World rental strollers are best suited for children who can sit up well on their own, I recommend bringing your own stroller or renting from a Disney Featured Provider. Just be sure your stroller adheres to the recently updated guidelines.

Lisa, my fellow panelists and I have LOTS of experience visiting Walt Disney World Resort with infants. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to visit us again. We are always happy to help.

    Enjoy your visit!
