Hello! I am headed to Disneyworld in April 2019. I will be renting a car. We will be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. I understand we must pay to park at our resort $19 per day. However do I pay to park in the theme park parking lot in addition?

    Hello there, Kristina!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner. How exciting!

You are going to love the rural Louisiana theming, relaxing atmosphere and fun recreational activities at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. As you mentioned, Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels will be charged for standard overnight self-parking. However, you will receive complimentary standard parking at the theme parks and water parks as a Disney Resort hotel Guest. You should not have to pay an additional fee to park at the theme parks unless you decide to upgrade to preferred parking. When arriving at the theme park, a Cast Member will scan your MagicBand to verify you are a registered Guest staying on property. My family often drives to the theme parks as well, with Magic Kingdom Park being the exception. We've found it to be much easier to utilize Disney's complimentary transportation when accessing the iconic park.

During your visit, I highly recommend spending one evening in the River Roost Lounge at your resort to hEAR the entertaining Yehaa Bob Jackson. The complimentary show is available to Guests of all ages and always one of the highlights of our trips. Be sure to venture over to Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter to try the delicious Mickey-shaped Beignets.

I hope this information has been helpful, Kristina. Let us know if you have any new questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!

    Happy Travels,
    Jodie
