Hello I have been to DisneyWorld several times. one of our favorite things to do is meet rare characters. We met 36 total our last trip What I want to know is there any way I can pay to meet or set up unique meets with rare characters not normally around?

    Hi Jason!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! 36 Characters in one trip? Wow, I want to YOU sign my autograph book!

There currently are a few ways to meet some of Disney's rarely seen characters, like purchasing a Special Event Ticket to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. While these might seem like just really themed up nights in Magic Kingdom with low crowds and tasty party-only treats, there are also special character meet & greets! In the past the seven Dwarfs, Cruella DeVil, Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum, Lots-o-Huggin' Bear, Jack Skellington, Judy Hopps and many more were available for warm hugs and photos all night long.

Have you considered a RunDisney event? Characters and PhotoPass photographers can be found all along the courses.

Try to visit around the next PhotoPass Day, which brings out rare characters in real life and through fun, limited edition Magic Shots.

Other ways to meet rare characters is to constantly check the My Disney Experience App while you're in the parks. You never know who will pop up on a rainy day, or a really hot day, or on a day that sees a really full park. There may, or may not be, a secret character spot in Disney's Hollywood Studios. And while this isn't necessarily meeting characters, the Backstage Magic tour spends a lot of time in the Creative Costume shop, where you might just see some really awesome outfits.

    We'll See You Soon, Jason!
