Hi Heather, I read in your bio that you suvived WDW while potty training!! We are bringing our 22 mth old twins later this month and need all the advise you can give. Thanks

First, make sure you pack your patience - you're going to need it! Vacationing while potty training can be daunting, but it's definitely do-able.

I found a plastic folding potty seat at a local baby store, and this was great for travel. It came in a storage bag for hygienic reasons, and it unfolded to quickly make a smaller seat (on top of the main seat) that was easy for my small daughter to use. At that age, I found this much easier than teaching her to sit on the side of the toilet. One thing at a time!

Second, I took her to the bathroom before we got in line - every. single. time. Yes, it did get tiring, but it's far worse to get to the front of the line at Splash Mountain and then have to walk away because she absolutely must use the bathroom at that very second. Any time there is a line, use the bathroom before getting in it.

Be forewarned about the bathrooms. They use automatically flushing toilets that flush very quickly and forcefully, and very loudly. When my daughters were little they were afraid of them, especially because quite often they would flush before the kids had gotten away. While there isn't much you can do to change this, you might want to warn your little ones in advance so they aren't frightened.  And make note of the baby care centers on your maps. They are in each park, and they have (among other amenities) small, child sized toilets that do not flush automatically!

Finally, I like to pack my kids' clothes in ziploc bags, one for each day. This makes it easy to grab a bag and dress them each day, and to throw a bag in your backpack or stroller for a change of clothes. And if you have a wet accident on your hands, you'll have a nice waterproof bag to put those clothes in as well. Very handy!
