Heartfelt Thanks to your wonderful panel! Truly grateful for your timely and elaborate assistance! What do you suggest for celebrating New Year's Day 1/1/2018 at WDW? Thanx a lot in advance!!

    Hi Vikrant!

Thank you so much for your kind words to the panel. We all have a passion for Disney and love to share our experiences from our own many trips there.

You are going to be at Walt Disney World at a very exciting time of the year. The Christmas and New Years holidays draw many guests to come and enjoy a fun filled vacation. The atmosphere is certainly one of joy but you do have to prepare for crowds.

There really is not one specific thing or place that is better then the rest for enjoying New Years Day. If you wish to visit a park they will be operating as usual. The Magic Kingdom will likely be the most crowded of the four parks so avoid that one if possible. If you are thinking about not heading to a park then you might enjoy taking the day for relaxation after a late night of toasting in the new year. Consider renting a pontoon boat and just cruise the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. It might also be a great time to try some of the activities offered by Sammy Duvall's water sports center.

My husband would simply say no to all of those ideas as he is a big football fan and would not want to miss the games on New Years Day. So for him and those that are like him I would suggest a day at the ESPN Club located on the Boardwalk. You will find great food and great game watching in a comfortable atmosphere. Wives love going to the spa while husbands watch tv...hint hint!

Another super choice is to take in a movie at the AMC Theater in Disney Springs. Grab a great meal at one of the many dining choices and shop at the unique stores. You can make a complete day just in Disney Springs.

    Lots of choices!
