Ive been hearing that there isnt a slow time in DLR anymore. Havent been in 3 yrs but early Sept used to work for us. Is it really that busy? My boys are ASD and bad crowds can shut 'em down leaving us sitting in a hotel room, not at DLR

Hi, Penny! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm excited to help a fellow Coloradan plan a visit to the Disneyland Resort!

With so much going on at the Disneyland Resort year-round, it is rare to find a time that isn't busy. But I do have a few tips to help you and your family enjoy the parks without becoming overwhelmed with crowds. First, avoid any holidays or typical school break times like summer or spring break. Next, if you are able, try to visit during the week as opposed to weekends. I have found that Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are particularly great times to visit the parks. Arrive as early as possible during the day and take advantage of Extra Magic Hour or Magic Morning if you have those options available to you. You can get so much done in the mornings, and when the crowds swell in the afternoons, you can head back to the hotel for swimming or a rest.

Finally, use the Disneyland app to view attraction wait times, FASTPASS return times, and to help you navigate the parks efficiently.

I hope this information was helpful. For more in depth information, the "Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities" page is an excellent and comprehensive resource. Have a great time at the Disneyland Resort!
