I heard that we can visit Mickey Mouse's house/playground - does anyone know about this and where it is? Thanks so much! My 2 and 5 year old heard about it from someone and are excited to see it so I hope it exists!!

    Hi Natalie:

The Magic Kingdom is under an expansion that will nearly double the size of Fantasyland. To make way for this transformation, Mickey's Toontown Fair closed on February 12, 2011. Fantasyland construction will be completed in phases with most new attractions open by 2013.  With Toontown closing, you can no longer visit Mickey's house.

As for Magic Kingdom playgrounds, check out the toddler-sized playground located near the entrance to Splash Mountain. While small in size, we enjoy this playground because it’s near restrooms and is a quick walk to the nearby Magic Kingdom railroad. After some play time in the playground, our family hops on the train for a loop around the park. There are also play areas on Tom Sawyer Island.

Remember to check out the playgrounds in the other parks, such as the 11,000-square-foot larger-than-life Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure play area at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and The Boneyard, a dinosaur-themed playground at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The Boneyard features a multi-level maze, climbing areas, tunnels, and a large shaded sandbox where kids can dig up fossils.

    Enjoy your vacation.
