Hello, I heard that there is trick or treating @ the wilderness lodge campsite on Halloween night, is this true? We are not going to attend the MNSSHP @ the Magic Kingdom and were wondering the other options for Halloween Night in the Disney Resort area?

Hi Rick! The location for trick or treating at Walt Disney World on Halloween night would be Fort Wilderness Campsites. There are a number of loops where many of the "campers" will offer treats for the Halloween visitors. They will have a sign out on their camper or outside in their area which will alert you that they are participating. Although we go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on Halloween night I will have something out for all the trick or treaters to take.

Fort Wilderness has cut back on some of the "old" activities such as pet parade and site decorating contests but they will have a wonderful cart parade that night at 5pm. It is a must to see as guests will transform their golf carts into some amazing sites such as pirate ships. If you plan on coming do not drive your own vehicle as they restrict outside guests especially that night. You can reach the campgrounds by boat from the Magic Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge, or Contemporary resorts or by bus from all other locations.
