I heard rider swap very recently switched and now they require all members of both parties to have Fastpasses. Is this true? I want to make sure I book correctly!

    Hi, there!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katherine. It's nice to see you again!

I'm so glad to hear you're strategically planning your FastPass+ experiences. Maximizing my family's precious time in the theme parks is a priority for me, so I'm always looking for new ways to minimize our wait times! You must be traveling with a little one in tow, so you will most definitely find Disney's Rider Switch to be useful. The service did recently change, making it much more convenient to use. I had a chance to try out the new digital system recently, and found that it worked much like the old system, just with a few improvements. In my family's recent experience, only the people who were riding the attraction first needed a FastPass+ to enter the FastPass+ queue. The "Waiting Adult" was permitted the enter the FastPass+ queue with the Rider Switch entitlement that was issued at the time the service was requested. As with the old system, the Waiting Adult may bring up to two Guests with them when they return to the attraction within the assigned return window. Just be sure that everyone in your group is present when you make the request to use Rider Switch, and the Cast Member there will make sure everyone is good to go!

Don't forget to download the My Disney Experience mobile app prior to your visit. You'll be able to view any Rider Switch entitlements within the app; a super cool feature!

Thanks for stopping by, Katherine. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have!
