I have heard (and remember) that portions are quite large at WDW restaurants. If we have the dining plan, can we order one entree and split it-meaning only redeeming one credit? Or can we take leftovers( we have a kitchen). I just hate leftovers/waste

    Hi Dawn!

I must agree with you in that the portions at most Walt Disney World dining establishments are generous indeed!

At Quick Service dining locations, you always have the flexibility to use only as many or as few credits as you desire, splitting portions amongst your party if you wish. It is certainly not necessary to use 1 credit per person at Quick Service locations.

When dining at a Table Service location, generally it is presumed that each person dining will be using a credit from the Disney Dining Plan. If you are especially not hungry at a certain meal, certainly advise your server that you'd prefer to split a meal and they'll let you know if that particular dining location can accommodate your request. Alternatively, yes - you most certainly can request that your leftovers be packaged up for you to take back to your resort room and refrigerated to enjoy at a later time! You'll find microwaves available for Guest use in the Quick Service dining area of your Disney Resort if you should need to reheat some of your leftovers.

*Please note that at all Character Dining and Buffet table service restaurants, one Table Service Credit per guest MUST be redeemed from your Disney Dining Plan.

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World Dawn!
