I heard there is a "Picnic in the Park" where you put your order in early at a quick service restaurant and pick up your meal at a certain time. It's like the "Fast Pass" of dining. Where is this done at? It sounds wonderful coming with

Hi Catherine! Over the last few years Disney has offered something called Picnic in the Park at the Animal Kingdom as well as something similar at Hollywood Studios. The Animal Kingdom dining offer was discontinued and replaced by grab and go food stops but that was also discontinued. At this date I am not aware of anything being offered in the Animal Kingdom park but that can and could change on any given day.

In Hollywood Studios they offered something called "A Taste of Hollywood To Go" which was actually a form of the Fantasmic Dining Package. This was available for a short time this spring and was put in place to help satisfy the crowds during spring break vacations. The latest offering for this was from March 24-April 4. Adult prices were $15.99 and children's at $5.49. If you were on the Dining Plan this was equal to one counter service credit. This picnic was available for pick up at Min and Bill's Dockside Diner and you could make reservations for it by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

You can find great photos for the food items that were offered at Although it is not offered at present this is something that has proved popular with the guests and likely will be added again during the heavy crowd periods of the year. You can call the dining number every now and then to see if they have implemented the dining option for your vacation stay. Disney can add this at any time without much warning as well as take it away permanently so it is hard to depend on it for your stay. I suggest you book some backup reservations which you can cancel if this program has begun again.
