I have heard about a new grassy area in front of magic Kingdom-Where can I find photos of the new changes? Is it alike a picnicking area (if pack lunch) What did they do away with to accommodate the grass? It sounds great-

Hi there, Denise! It's great to see you again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

A few weeks ago, the Magic Kingdom Park unveiled some amazing changes that had been hidden behind construction walls in the Central Plaza area between Main Street, U.S.A. and Cinderella Castle. The new pathways and grassy areas add a whole new character to this section of the park, and a sweet spot to sit and have a picnic. My family grabbed some Starbucks treats from Main Street Bakery and found a place in the grass to enjoy our snacks with Cinderella Castle as a backdrop. It was heavenly!

The new plaza also serves as the FastPass+ viewing location for Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. We checked it out recently, and I thought it was a great experience. Plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the show, and a wonderful view of the fireworks.

The Disney Parks Blog posted some photos of this beautiful new area, so you can get an idea of what it looks like. I hope you get a chance to see it for yourself soon. I think you'll really like the newly reimagined space.

Thanks for stopping by to see us, Denise. Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
