I heard that if you get to MK early enough you can see the characters arrive on the bus. What time does this occur? Will the shuttle from POP run early enough to get us there in time? Where should stand for 3 yr old to get best view? Thanks! Love the panel

    Hi Kerri,

You're talking about the opening ceremony at the Magic Kingdom and I've seen it several times and can definitely say it's fabulous. The characters all arrive by train and there's lots of singing and dancing. It all takes place just inside the turnstiles up on the Main Street Station about 5-10 minutes before park opening. We always like to stand right in the middle of the station, there is a high curved wall so if you get next to that your child will have a fantastic view.

The Disney buses will start running about 2 hours before the parks open so this will give you plenty of time to get there, we try to arrive at least 20 minutes before park opening to allow time to get through bag check and the turnstiles. Be sure to check the park hours before you leave your resort so you don't miss it!

    Have a great trip,
