I've heard mixed suggestions of whether to purchase a park hopper or not. My husband and I will be traveling tod WDW with our 2 boys for 6 nights/6 days and trying to decide if we should purchase a park hopper. My boys are 4 and 7 years old. Thoughts?

Hi Lynn, Another Disney Mom Lynn here!
My first suggestion would be to spend some time envisioning what you want your holiday to be like.  Our family has done both 'relaxing' and 'pack as much in as possible' holidays - and loved them both.
Park Hopper passes are great if you want to hit certain parks or events at particular times, and then skip over to another park for other special events or evening fireworks.

You have plenty of days at the parks, so I would say with some advance planning you will be able to hit all the highlights you want to see without a park hopper.  Check out the event calendars for each park:  go to www.disneyworld.com and under the 'PARKS' heading, click each theme park.  From there click 'CALENDAR' on the left side of the page and pick the month and then the day you are visiting...these are live links to scheduled events.  Some events, like Fantasmic at Disney's Hollywood Studios are only shown on specific nights - pick those days to hit those parks.

If you sketch out a plan, I think you will be able to hit all your highlights in six days without the Park Hopper pass.  However, if you want the flexibility to change your park plans or do something spontaneous, the Park Hopper may be just the thing for you.  I hope this helps.  Have a magical family time together!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
