Epcot at Dusk

I heard the Frozen Everafter ride doesn’t start accepting FPs until 11 am, does it make sense to arrive at Epcot around 11 am then? Or at “rope drop” (before 9 am) with our two toddlers (ages 4 and 2) - which makes more sense with minimal waiting? Thanks!

    Hi Diane!

Frozen Ever After is one of my favorite rides in the Walt Disney World Resort!  Unfortunately, because so many people feel the same way, it often has a longer wait time than many other rides.  That being said, there are a few ways to beat the crowds!

The easiest way to have a shorter wait time is reserving Frozen Ever After as one of your FastPass+ selections for the day that you will be visiting Epcot.  If you would like to do this, just make sure that you log on at 7 a.m. Eastern Time on the day that your FastPass+ booking window opens.  You can do this online on the My Disney Experience website or on the My Disney Experience mobile app!  You may even be able to get an early morning FastPass+ selection!

If you can't get a FastPass+ selection or you can't get one at the time you would prefer, I highly suggest "rope dropping."  On our last trip, my husband and I arrived about 45 minutes before the park opened.  Once the park opened and we got to the ride, we only waited about 5 minutes to board our ship to Arendelle.  If you wait until later in the day to ride, there will likely be a much longer wait.  Remember, it is a bit of a walk from the main entrance of Epcot to the ride, so be prepared for that with some comfy shoes and maybe a little coffee.  Even so, I think "rope dropping" is the way to go!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
