Hi moms! Just heard about a Disney Jr dance party at Hollywood Studios during extra magic hours. Can anyone tell me what this is exactly what characters appear? We will be there Feb 2 to 11 is this going on then? Any chance Doc McStuffins will be there? Th

    Hi Stephanie,

The Disney Junior Dance Party is tons of fun. Its held at the Disney Junior - Live on Stage! theater during evening Extra Magic Hours (EMHs). It started right at the time EMHs started & lasted until the end. They will check to make sure everyone has a Key To The World Card to enter.

A DJ plays tunes popular tunes while Guests boogie down with some of their favorite characters from Disney Junior.  The last time we were there 8 characters rotated in & out of the party & there were 4 on the floor at a time. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Handy Mandy, JoJo, Quincy & Annie (from Little Einsteins). Please keep in mind that characters may vary each evening.

The Disney Junior Dance Party provides an excellent opportunity to dance & interact with the characters. The characters don't pose for traditional Meet & Greet photos but we got some great candid shots with my boys dancing with them. Pluto was running around having a blast & Goofy was being . . . . goofy. It wasn't very crowded on the evening we were there so there was plenty of room for kids to run around and just be kids. They also had balloon artists making balloon animals for kids at no charge - gotta love that.

The Disney Parks Blog recently did a piece about Sofia the First & Doc McStuffins being added to the stories during Disney Junior - Live on Stage! beginning February 15, 2013. I don't know if or when they will make appearances for Meet & Greets or at the Disney Junior Dance Party but I think they would be great additions.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
