I have heard that on some cruise lines you tip the staff at the end. I havent been able to find anything on that for a disney cruise. We are going the 18-23 to the bahamas on the dream and we are tryign to make sure weve figured everything out

Gratuities are a customary way for guests to show appreciation for the exemplary service you're sure to enjoy during your cruise.  On my most recent Disney cruise (in October of 2011), gratuities were handled a bit differently than they had been in the past.  On that cruise, the per person recommended gratuity amounts were automatically applied to our stateroom account.  We had the option to go to Guest Services and adjust that amount or remove it altogether (for guests wishing to pay in cash, for example).  Towards the end of our trip, tip envelopes were delivered to our room, along with stubs reflecting the gratuity amounts charged to our stateroom account.  We stuffed the envelopes with those stubs (as well as a bit extra cash for our amazing servers and stateroom host) and hand-delivered those envelopes during our last evening aboard.  You can read more about tipping guidelines HERE.  Happy sailing!
