I have heard alot about taking taxi's to parks from hotels. What do they run. Just in case we are in a tight spot for a reservation.

Hi Denise! Our family has used taxis to get us to places when we are on a tight schedule.  The rates are about $2.50 for the first 1/4 mile and then $2.50 for each mile after that.  Try to avoid the independent drivers as their rates will not be monitored and can be much higher.  Your resort can help you with the best company to call and offer their recommendations.  If you are staying at a resort with a valet service they will be more then happy to call one for you.

If you have an advanced dining reservation for a character meal or special show and the Disney transportation is not running in time to get you to that restaurant then please check with the resort.  They will often give you a taxi voucher or arrange for you to get to the park so you will not be late.  This would only be when the Disney busses, boats, or monorails have not started up for the day.
