I've heard there are advantages to booking "room only" as opposed to "packages". Can someone clarify? if there is an advantage, I presume I can add park tickets and dining later? Thanks for all your help and information!

Hi, Pearl!  The pros and cons to the room only versus package promotional offers may vary by person.  It really is up to the individual if one is better than another.

Some room only promotions can give you up to a 40% discount on your room rate, and that can be a huge savings!  The advantage here over a package is many times, you don't need a minimum number of nights to qualify for the promotion, and you don't need to purchase tickets for a minimum number of days.  That allows you to be more flexible.  Also, many package promotions include a dining plan, which some guests prefer not to have.

You can purchase park passes and dining plans separately if you book a room only discount, although at that point, do the math to see which is the better way to go for your family, especially if there is a free dining promotion being offered.

    Happy planning, Pearl!
