Hi! I hear about people giving special cast members some kind of thank you, I was thinking of doing this for my next trip, can you give me some ideas of what would be small and easy to carry around to thank them? Thank you!

    Hi Lesley,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  I was so excited to answer this question, because I love hearing other people wanting to make someone else feel special or appreciated!  One of my favourite things to do while at Walt Disney World Resort is to take the time to get to know some of the wonderful Cast Members.  For me, it is the Cast Members that make Walt Disney World the Magical place my family loves.

Being Canadian, we tend to bring small candies that are typically "Canadian" to give to some special people we get to know throughout our vacations.  We have also brought small pins and have made customized Thank You cards on the computer with my daughter's picture and signature.  (She is four, so her signature has just recently became legible).

For Cast Members who would typically receive gratuities, my daughter likes to colour small envelopes and put the gratuity inside, making the gratuity more personalized.

The best way to give thanks to a great Cast Member would be to stop by Guest Services and fill out a comment card.  You can explain in detail the experience you had with the Cast Member and they will be notified of your kind words.  For a Cast Member this is the often the most rewarding type of thanks.

I hope my suggestions help Lesley.  I'm sure the Cast Members would even appreciate a heart-felt, simple Thank You.  Kind words can go a long way for a busy Cast Member.
