Heading to WDW Mar.2010, staying at POP. Have you encountered problems with noise at night? Any suggestions on a room request (I know it's not guaranteed) to avoid sleep deprivation and still have some convenience? Does disney have/abide curfews?

Hello Tanya!  I have stayed at Pop Century many times and have never been disturbed at night by noise.  If possible, you may want to try and request a room opposite of a court yard.  For example, if you look at a resort map for Pop Century (you can find on allears.net or intercot.com) you will notice the clusters of buildings surrounding a pool.  Rather than stay in one of these rooms, if you choose to stay on the opposite side, it should be more quiet.  I have stayed with a lake view in the 50's and 70's buildings and also the 50's building with a parking lot view with no problems.  I also travel with a sound conditioner which is basically a small device that generates white noise.

Hopefully you won't have any problems but if you do, just call the front desk and they will have security come out and quiet things down.

Have a groovy time at the Pop!  Diane  :)
