    Monica from ON Asked

Heading to WDW end of Jan 2010 with 13 and 17 yr old dds. Planning where to eat, interested in trying Ohana's for dinner. Can't seem to confirm whether it's a bit too *kid* orientated. Never been before and reviews are vague as to target age group. Advice?

Hi, Monica!  The dinner at 'Ohana seems to me to be one of those rare restaurants that holds appeal to both children and adults - without being anything that will offend the senses of those delicate teenagers.  Even my too cool for everything teenage daughter loves eating at 'Ohana.

The restaurant itself doesn't look like there is anything special for children, but for people with young children, they do usually have something during dinner for them to participate in.  I've seen things like hula hoop contests and coconut races, and usually the kids participating go from the very young through the tween agers.

That being said, the children's activities don't take place throughout the entire meal, and a table full of adults wouldn't feel uncomfortable or like the restaurant is catering too much to the children.  We've gone to 'Ohana with only adults, and even with friends who chose not to have any children, and we managed to talk right through the children's activities without feeling disturbed.

We've always had a nice meal here, and on the occasions we've been there during Wishes, it's an even more magical dining experience!

    Have a great vacation!
