    Heading to WDW Dec 16-23 for our first trip. We have a 5 day pass with no park hopper. Trying to decide which park to hit on which day. Is it better to take advantage of the EMH or avoid them. Filling a bit overwelmed and would love your help. Thanks

    Leslie,

    The first three or four days of your visit will be when you are going to face moderate to light crowds. I would take full advantage of all the Extra Magic Hours that I could during that time. Morning and Evening. Evening ones offer more time than the single extra hour of the morning one, so if you have to choose, go with that one.

    Starting on Sunday the 20th, you are going to face the very largest crowds of the year at Walt Disney World. There is way to sugarcoat that. Extra Magic Hours will simply intensify that, so avoiding the Extra Magic Hours will make your life a bit easier.

    Here is what I would do, by day (I assume no time for parks on arrival and departure days);

    • December 16 - Arrival Day
    • 17 - Magic Kingdom (with morning Extra Magic Hours)
    • 18 - Epcot (with Evening Extra Magic Hours)
    • 19 - Hollywood Studios (with morning Extra Magic Hours)
    • 20 - Animal Kingdom
    • 21 - Non-park relaxation day?
    • 22 - Magic Kingdom
    • 23 - Departure Day
    Now don't feel overwhelmed. You are taking all the right steps! Keep asking questions, and you will be more than ready!

    Have a magical vacation!
