Mom with infant

We will be heading for WDW the day our youngest turns 5 months. We can pick our FP's this week & I was wondering if there's a way to know which rides we can take her on. Does all ages really mean all ages even that young?

Hello Sarah! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

How exciting that you will soon be introducing a new Mouseketeer to the Endless Magic of Walt Disney World Resort. I still remember my children's faces light up the first time we walked onto Main Street, U.S.A.

As far as planning your FastPass+ Selections around the attractions and entertainment that is suitable, Walt Disney World Resort mainly restricts access to certain rides based on height requirements for rides that require restraints, certain seating or more extreme thrills.

Whenever you are wondering whether an attraction is suitable for your infant, the first indicator is whether or not the ride has a minimum requirement in terms of height. Cast Members enforce the height requirements and will not allow children on rides such as Soarin', Splash Mountain and DINOSAUR (all require Guests to be 40" or taller).

If others in your party wish to experience such a ride while traveling with an infant, you will want to look into the Rider Switch Service which allows Guests to experience the attractions while someone in the party waits with the infant before switching and experiencing the ride themselves.

For rides without minimum height requirements, it is up to the Parents discretion to determine whether a ride is suitable for the child. I recommend that you check with Cast Members at the attraction or on the sites for individual attractions if you are unsure about the suitability of any rides.
