We are heading to DLR in April & have been watching wait times on an app that I recently put on my phone. I have been impressed that the ride waits seem much shorter for most rides than what we found at WDW. Is that right? Any tips for Frozen M&G

    Hi, Whitney!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your question about attraction wait times at the Disneyland Resort. I’m so glad to hear you’re visiting The Happiest Place on Earth this spring!

Although wait time apps can be a great tool while in the parks, do keep in mind that the crowd levels and wait times vary each season and even from week to week or day to day. February is one of the lightest months in terms of resort attendance, so if you’re watching current wait times, that’s why they are likely short now. All of March through the last weekend in April is expected to be much busier in the theme parks due to schools being on spring break and more families traveling.

However, don’t let the possibility of heavier crowds lessen your excitement! Park hours will be long and the entertainment schedule will be bustling, and with the help of Disney FASTPASS service and Early Magic Hours, you should have plenty of opportunities to experience your must-dos. The Frozen character meet and greet will likely be very popular during your visit (I saw posted wait times over two hours during my January trip) so your best bet is to head there as early as possible one morning, as the queue will only grow longer as the day goes on. You may also try checking back toward the end of the scheduled meet and greet hours for the day if you don’t make it first thing in the morning. Be on the lookout for that lovable snowman, Olaf--he'll be perched on the roof of Elsa and Anna's castle and provides fun, interactive entertainment during your wait!

I hope this helps, Whitney. Please visit me again with more questions as your pixie-dusted planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
