    Devorah from MA Asked

I am heading to disney world the second week of may. It is supposed to be a "light" crowd time. should I still make fast pass reservations and dining reservations?

    Hi Devorah,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  You must be getting so excited for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort, May will be here before you know it!

Even though May isn’t one of the most busy times at Walt Disney World Resort, I would still recommend making Advanced Dining Reservations and FastPass+ Selections.  FastPass+ Selections would be more important for my family and I because even though the crowds are typically lighter, there will still be waits at individual attractions.  It is nice knowing that you have three attractions per day that you will get to experience with little to no wait time.

With regard to Advanced Dining Reservations, I find that it is much more convenient if you are planning on dining at a Table-Service Dining Location to have an Advanced Dining Reservation so that you know when and where you will be eating before hand.  Sometimes it can be difficult to find a Table-Service Dining Location with availability the same day.  If you are flexible about the times and locations for Table-Service Dining Locations, Advanced Dining Reservations may not be necessary.  Please be aware that you may not find availability for your preferred location as most of the more popular Dining Locations do tend to fill up regularly.  If you are happy to enjoy Quick-Service Dining, you will not need an Advanced Dining Reservation, simply visit the location and enjoy!

I hope you have a fantastic visit at Walt Disney World Resort, Devorah.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
