Hi, we will be heading to Disney world in a month and I was wondering if I use a cell phone wallet do I have to go through the bag check line?

    Hi Cheryl,

With your vacation to the most magical place on earth just a few weeks away, I bet you're getting so excited! Do you have a fun countdown going on yet? My family loves making a paper chain and tearing off one link each day, watching it grow shorter and shorter until it's time for our next incredible Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I am grateful that Disney has so many wonderful security measures in place, keeping us all safe while we enjoy our vacations. To answer your question, Cheryl, if you're not carrying a purse, bag, backpack, diaper bag, etc., you'll be able to bypass the bag check line and enter via a line for people without bags. There is often a metal detector that you'll need to go through, but there will be bowls for you to remove any contents from your pockets, including a cell phone or wallet.

Even though we have five children in our family, we usually only have one of us go through the bag check line and everyone else enters through the line for people without bags. One way our family is able to travel so lightly is by having MagicBands. They automagically contain nearly everything we need right on our wrists! If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you'll not only receive complimentary MagicBands, but they may even be used to charge any purchases back to your room! How simple is that?!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cheryl, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're preparing for your trip. I hope you have a truly magical vacation!
