Hi we are heading to disney world with our family there will be seven adults and six kids (I know we are crazy for traveling like this lol). One of my nephews has asbergers (sp? Are there any special things that disney will do to ensure him an amazing trip

Hi, Emily!  My best advice for a child who has Aspergers is to snag a Guest Assistance Card.  For many children who live with Aspergers, there are a few things the card might be able to help with to give him a more pleasant experience.

With the Guest Assistance Card, they may be able to offer your nephew and at least some members of your family an entrance in the Fast Pass line, so his wait time will be shorter.  When this isn't possible, they can often offer him a quieter place to wait for his turn on the attraction.  Sometimes, there is a bench or quiet spot just away from the regular queue, so he isn't overwhelmed by feeling crowded.  Other times, there may be an indoor area where he can wait (always accompanied by family!!), where it's cool and quiet.

The Guest Assistance Card can be obtained at Guest Services at any of the theme parks.  It may help to have a short note from his physician which outlines what special arrangements can be made for him to give him the best experience possible.

    Have a wonderful trip!
