We're heading to Disney this Thanksgiving but staying outside of the resort at Windsor Hills because there are 8 of us going and would be better but now need to know how I go about getting tickets for fast pass and park hopper for all of us? Thanks

Hi, Jennifer! Staying at one of the many nearby communities is a great way to save money when traveling with large groups. We have actually stayed at Windsor Hills and absolutely love it there. We do prefer to stay in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, but find the large condominiums and homes to be a great, spacious place to unwind with our family at the end of  a pixie dusted day at the parks.

You can purchase your theme park tickets at this link or you can purchase discounted tickets from a variety of sources that you may be associated with, such as AAA or even your place of employment. You may want to also do a search for reputable, authorized discount ticket sellers, such as Undercover Tourist. I have previously saved a good bit of money when purchasing discounted tickets for our group - which ultimately means more Dole Whip Floats for us!

No matter the source you use to purchase your tickets, make sure you buy them in plenty of time to have them in hand at least 30 days prior to your first day in any of the Disney theme parks. Your FastPass+ selections can begin to be made 30 days in advance, so you will want to have the tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account before this window opens. If you do purchase Park Hopper tickets, which will allow you to visit more than one theme park each day, you will only be able to make initial FastPass+ selections at one park each day. It is your choice if you want to have the selections scheduled at your first park or a park you visit later in the day. See this answer from my fellow Panelist, Autumn, to learn more about FastPass+ selections while using a Park Hopper ticket.

I hope you have a magical day, Jennifer!
