Heading to Disney with my 7 month old- are there anywhere in hotela that I can nurse my daughter? we have a few dining reservations at hotels!

Hi there Alyssia! You must be getting so excited that your Walt Disney World vacation is almost here. Let the countdown begin! Because Walt Disney World makes it so convenient to vacation with little ones, you can relax and let any worries go. I have two small children, and I brought both of them to the Disney Parks as a nursing mom.

I'm glad to hear that you have Advanced Dining Reservations at a few Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. Some of my very favorite restaurants are located in the resorts. Many of them are quieter and more relaxed than the busy theme park dining establishments, making them a great choice with an infant. My son's first Walt Disney World meal was at Kona Café in the Polynesian Village Resort. I actually nursed him on a bench along the resort's beach area after the meal. It was a secluded and lovely place to sit and feed him.

Alyssia, if you and your baby are comfortable, you are free to nurse anywhere in the Walt Disney World Resort - including in the actual restaurants if that works for you. I once nursed my son during the American Adventure at Epcot! That being said, there are times that both mom and baby want a quiet, private space for nursing. I suggest arriving to the location of your dining reservation about fifteen minutes in advance to allow time to walk around and scope out some quiet corners, corridors, or walking paths. There are plenty of benches and chairs in and around the resort hotels that would be perfect for a nursing break. If you are having trouble finding something that feels right, speak with a Cast Member at the resort who will help you find a comfortable space.

When you are in the theme parks, be sure to familiarize yourself with the locations of the Baby Care Centers. These clean, air-conditioned centers, found in all four theme parks, are a wonderful resource for parents of infants and toddlers. They are complimentary to use and equipped with changing tables, nursing rooms, microwaves, sinks, and more. They are also stocked with items for purchase such as diapers, formula, and over-the-counter medications, just in case you accidentally left them at home. The Baby Care Centers are fabulous, and once you use their changing stations, you may never go back to a public restroom changing table!

Alyssia, I hope you have a wonderful trip with your little princess. There is nothing quite like experiencing the magic of Disney through the eyes of your child. Even at seven months old, there will be so many sights, sounds, and scents for her to take in. Dress her in her best Disney outfit, snap some pictures, and make some unforgettable memories of this magical time!

    See ya real soon!
