    Eric from MI Asked

I am heading to Disney in late Sept/early October with my kids for the first time. We are looking at booking a moderate resort and get flights/tickets etc soon. Any advice on how to save money? Book now or wait? If we wait, when should we book?

    Greetings Eric!
I always recommend that Guests book their packages to the Walt Disney World Resort as soon as possible in order to ensure availability at their Resort hotel of choice. If a discount becomes available, you can call and have the discount applied if it is available for your specific dates, package and Resort. Keep an eye on the Special Offers page on the Disney website for current offers. Another website I follow to keep up-to-date on savings is On that site you can also research prior years' dates of discount release to help you gauge when to start looking for a discount.

Don't hesitate to come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your planning questions- we love to help!

I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
