We are heading directly to a park when we arrive and since we cannot check in until 4pm, if I use online check in prior to arriving at the park will we be able to use our magic bands for park admission and dining reservations that are booked?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heidi!

I love your plan to head directly to the Disney theme parks upon your arrival in Orlando. That way you won't miss a minute of the magic on your vacation.

If you have completed online check-in prior to your arrival, you don't need to stop at the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel prior to heading to the parks. Last October, I went directly to Disney's Hollywood Studios from Orlando International Airport. My theme park tickets were already linked to my MagicBand so I was ready to go. When my hotel room was ready, I received a text message notifying me of my room number. I was able to bypass the front desk entirely. My Disney Dining Plan credits were all set for use, too. The whole process was seamless.

If you are driving directly to the theme parks on that first day, you can simply scan your MagicBand with the parking attendant and they'll wave you right through without charging you to park at the theme parks. Just be sure to have that MagicBand on when you arrive.

I wish you many magical memories on your upcoming trip, Heidi. Feel free to post additional questions if there is anything else with which we can assist you.

Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
    Jill
