Hi, we are headed to WDW in Sept. we will have 1 day at MK, as we are going on the Disney cruise. We have booked a meal at Cinderella's Castle and a stop at Bippity Boppity boutique, but were wondering what some"must sees/dos" for our day with o

    Fawna:

A day at the Magical Kingdom will certainly get you in the mood for a relaxing cruise. With a meal at Cinderella Castle and a trip to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for your daughter, you're on your way to creating an iconic, memorable experience. But with only one day in the park, I have a few recommendations to get in all the must-dos:

    • Book your FastPass+ selections ASAP. My philosophy is to use them to avoid long lines so you can save time to do more. I recommend The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, a princess or character meet-and-greet, and a parade.

    • Arrive 30 minutes before park opening so that you can experience as much of Fantasyland before the crowds arrive by lunch. You'll be surprised at how many attractions you can see in the first hour of park opening. There isn't an attraction here I'd skip.

    • Adventureland: Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise are must-dos.

    • Frontierland: Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain should top your list here.

    • Liberty Square: The Haunted Mansion isn't for every child, but my kids loved it even when they were in pre-school.

    • Tomorrowland: Buzz Lightyear, Astro Orbiter and Space Mountain (if your child is tall enough) aren't to be missed. I recommend Astro Orbiter in the late evening when the line is shorter and the park is lit.

    • Top the night off with the evening parade and Wishes fireworks.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
