We are headed to WDW in Nov '10 with our children (2 boys 5 & 3). It is their 1st visit!! Both boys are avid swimmers and would love a day at a waterpark if the weather allows. Would you suggest TL or BB for these ages?

Hi Keri!  November is a tricky month when planning activities and wondering what the weather will be like.  The average temperatures range from 59-79 degrees. If you hit it during some of the cooler days and nights the water parks can be a bit uncomfortable as you must get out of the warm water to wait in lines for the various rides.

My family loves Blizzard Beach and we just spent a great day there last week with my four year old grandson.  It has a long lazy river ride, Cross Country Creek, that takes at least 20 minutes to do the full circle making it well worth the effort.  The wave pool is not as active as that in Typhoon Lagoon so it is good for younger children.  The Tikes Peak area is a great beginner place with simple slides for the little ones.  They aren't long but the children do them on their own making it a good first step.  When they become bored with these slides and tube rides they can venture over to Ski Patrol Training Camp where the slides become a little longer and more daring.  I can't wait for my grandson to attempt the zip line as it looks like fun!

The entire family will enjoy the Teamboat Springs family raft ride.  It is one of the only rides at either park where you can put everyone together for a fun adventure down the tube.  And you don't have to lug the raft up..they are waiting for you at the top! Toboggan Racers, Snow Stormers, Downhill Double Dipper, and Runoff Rapids are the next step to excitement and you would need to judge your children's abilities before heading for these attractions.  Downhill Double Dipper does have a 48" height requirement. For the strong hearted you can find the real thrilling water slides that I can't discuss as I will never venture on them!

If you can fit a private cabana in your budget you might want to consider renting one for the day.
