We are headed to WDW the last week of November with our 6yr old daughter. This is our first time to WDW! What are your suggestions for character dining? Also do the character meals count as table service meals or do we pay for them out of pocket? Thanks

    Hi Tammy!

November is a great month to visit Disney! The crowds are a little smaller, yet the Florida weather is still pretty fair to wear you shouldn't need a large coat!

We went in December 2009 with my 6 year old daughter. Here are some of the restaurants we did that she thoroughly enjoyed:

    • Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast at Cinderella's Castle (Magic Kingdom)
    • Akershus at Epcot (Norway)

--Both are pretty fun experiences, but if you can spare the extra table service, do the Royal Table as your first visit (Cinderella's Royal Table counts as 2 table services, but you can't beat eating at Cinderella's Castle :-)

    • Chef Mickey's at Contemporary Resort. Dine with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto!

    • Hollywood and Vine with Playhouse Disney characters (if your daughter like Little Einstein's then she'll love this dining experience!)

One we didn't get to in December but also fun: The Crystal Palace at Main Street Magic Kingdom. Dine with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and friends.

All of these had good food, good service, and were memorable for my daughter. All character meals are considered a table service. If you are on a Dining Plan, you can use your Plan for the character meals vs. paying out of pocket.

Have a magical time at the "Funnest Place on Earth" this fall!
