We're headed to Star Wars weekends for the first time, and we know there are going to be BIG crowds. What's the best advice for seeing everything and still keeping your sanity with the kids-especially a first timer?

    Hi Laura,

Thanks so much for sending this question my way. Star Wars Weekends is one of the most popular special events at Walt Disney World, and yes, the crowds will be large. I think the best way to refrain from being overwhelmed is to schedule specific times to eat and to utilize your FastPass+ selections. We are making dining reservations, not to just ensure we have all of our meals, but to give us a break from the crowds throughout the streets of Disney's Hollywood Studios. The same goes for our FastPass+ selections. This is yet another opportunity to get out of the sun, away from the crowds, and a time to rest a bit (depending on the attraction).

Also, give yourself permission to bow out, if need be. We planned an "exit strategy" if we or our kids get overwhelmed. We will hop on Disney Transportation and go back to our Resort room, or even visit another park for a break. Animal Kingdom is always pretty relaxing for our family and will be a great getaway from crowds, if needed.

I hope that answered your question, Laura. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask at any time. I'm always here to help.
