Hi, we will be headed into the park before our check in time that evening at our Disney resort. Will we have to pay for parking for both the park and the resort that day? Or do you suggest parking at the resort and then catching Disney transportation?

    Hi, Leslie!

You sound just like my family. We want to get to the parks as quickly as we can to start our magical vacation!

If you have completed your online check-in and have your MagicBands, you can head straight to any of the theme parks. Show the parking attendant your MagicBand and they can scan it to see that you are a resort guest, so you will not have to pay.  Parking at your Disney Resort is always free, so you will not have any problems there.

You are fine driving yourself to a theme park, but if you are planning on going to the Magic Kingdom, then I suggest using your resort's transportation. When parking at the Magic Kingdom, you need to park, then take a tram to the TTC then use the monorail or ferry boat to the front gates.  Your resort bus will drop you off right at the gates, which is much more efficient.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World!
