Howdy, Elizabeth! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am so excited that you and your family will soon be experiencing the Disneyland Resort for the first time! Make sure to stop by City Hall to pick up complimentary 1st Visit buttons for the whole family. I remember when my daughter started meeting some of the shorter height requirements for
attractions and how excited she was. She absolutely loves Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree which has a 32” height requirement. Autopia is another great option for preschoolers who are at least 32” tall. They can actually steer the car as long as an adult is in the passenger seat controlling the gas. It was a hoot to watch my daughter steer on her own! Finally, if your 3-year-old is a thrill seeker like my child, then you will want to ride Gadget’s Go Coaster if he/she is at least 35” tall. This is a great way to introduce kids to thrill attractions as it goes pretty fast and has some small drops and curves.
As far as attractions for the whole family, there are over 40 attractions that do not have any height restrictions. So pile everyone in to “it’s a small world,” Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, and many more. If you plan to bring a baby carrier or wrap, you can “wear” your baby on most of these rides for added convenience. You can also take both kids to
shows like Mickey and the Magical Map, Disney Junior Dance Party!, and Frozen – Live at the Hyperion.
You definitely won’t be short on things to do with the whole family. I hope you have a fabulous trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
