Hello, i am having to re-schedule my families disney vacation in november to January. I know nothing about disney in Jan. There is a marathon the weekend before we arrive on the 13th for our vacation. Should we be worried about crowds the week of our vaca?

Hello Carolena, welcome to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel!

January is a great month to visit Walt Disney World and enjoy nice weather and low to moderate crowds on most days.

Disney marathons usually have very little effect on park crowd levels and by the time you arrive Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will be over.  During the weekend of Martin Luther King Day (January 20 2014) crowd levels are usually higher than the rest of the week.

At the moment, there are no special events scheduled for the time of your visit.  Check Disney's Calendar for park hours and event times.

Thank you for visiting and letting us help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Hope to hear again from you.
