hi haven't been back to Disney since the FP became complicated and I did not like the whole idea of ride categories. If we were to attempt to navigate this system, can you please tell me when the least crowded weeks are based on college students.

Hi Norean! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We here at Disney Parks sure do hope that you come back and visit us again real soon! I have to admit at first when the changes went into place for the new FastPass+ program I was a bit nervous. I can assure you though that now I think it is even better than ever. Even though there are some tiers at some of the Theme Parks (Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot) I don’t feel that it has ever impacted my choices negatively. I love now also that you no longer have to race to a machine for a FastPass ticket and you also can change your selection (based on availability) in real time via the My Disney Experience App or in park FastPass+ Kiosk.

When we are looking at travel dates we try to look at times of the year that kids are in school so that the crowd levels are less. We avoid busy travel times such as holidays and summer break. I also really love using websites such as Touring Plans. They have unofficial crowd level prediction calendars that I have found to be relatively accurate.

I hope that you decide to come back and experience the magic again! If you have additional vacation planning questions please come back and see us real soon! We love helping guests just like you plan Disney vacations!
