If you are handicap (wheelchair). Is there a different cost to access the water parks. MY DD will be using them but I can't. Do I still have to pay full price or does Disney offer the spectator price or senior discount.

    Hi Cheryl!

At this time, Disney does not offer reduced admission at the theme parks or water park for Guests with disabilities or a senior discount. They do try their best to make their parks as accessible as possible so that all Guests may enjoy them to the fullest of their abilities.

I have a special needs son with some significant mobility issues and we do find a lot of the attractions at the water parks challenging or just not feasible for him to do. We try to focus on the ones that he can do such as the Surf Pool and Castaway Creek at Typhoon Lagoon and Cross Country Creek and Melt-Away Bay at Blizzard Beach.

If you are not able to get your wheelchair wet and are able to transfer to another one, they do have a limited number of wheelchairs available at no charge that you may want to consider using to get into one of the pools.

As with all their parks, Disney has done a great job of theming both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon so I think you'll enjoy all of the details they've put into them. Be sure to get there early so you'll be able to find a nice spot in the shade if you're visiting during the summer months.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
