For the Halloween Party at Mk, do you know if Disney does anything for guests with nut allergies? We are going to be attending with a family that has a child with this allergy and wanted to know if we should be prepared to bring items from home?

    Hi, Melissa!

This is a great question and I'm so happy that you sent it in to us!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party just so happens to be my VERY FAVORITE special event at the Walt Disney World Resort! Where else can grown-ups dress up in costume and go trick-or-treating with [or without] their children?

One of the [billions of] reasons I love Disney so much is that they really think of everything when planning these special events. You'll find that at each trick-or-treat station throughout Magic Kingdom Park, there are two lines. One is for regular candy, and one is for raisins. When you're all done trick-or-treating for the evening, simply bring your candy/raisins that you’ve collected at the treat locations to City Hall, and they’ll exchange your goodies for candy that fits your dietary needs, such as sugar-free candy, treats without nuts and healthy options too! This way, your friend's child will still get to participate in the fun of trick-or-treating at Disney and not miss even one moment of the magic! You could even make it more magical and let the child know that the raisins in his/her candy bag will magically turn into nut-free candy and make that happen by visiting City Hall while another person takes that child to the restroom located right next to City Hall. I love surprises and I can just imagine what a fun surprise that would be for a little one!

I hope this helps and encourage you to come back and visit us with any other questions you may think of!

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
