Does the Halloween party at California Adventure have a treat area that starts an hour early like Disneyland used to do at Toon Town?

Boo to you, Kori, and thanks for bringing your spook-tacular Halloween Time question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I’m so excited for you to attend Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party next week! I had the chance to attend the Bash recently, and I was super impressed. I loved the mix of classic Halloween Time fun with new, exciting experiences. Oogie Boogie Bash doesn’t include an early treat party like Mickey’s Halloween Party used to have in Mickey’s Toontown. However, your Oogie Boogie Bash admission allows you to enter Disney California Adventure Park three hours prior to the event start time on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or four hours prior to the event start time on Sundays, as well as October 29 and 31, 2019. The event begins at 6:00 PM, so if your party is on October 13, you’ll be able to mix in starting at 2:00 PM.

I recommend using this time to take advantage of Disney MaxPass, which is included with your admission prior to the event start time. I also recommend eating dinner before the event starts, since you’re going to need all the time you can get to experience everything the Bash has to offer! You may want to consider the Oogie Boogie Bash Dining Package available at Wine Country Trattoria, which includes a three-course meal, and a spot in the reserved parade viewing area for later that evening.

Despite Oogie Boogie Bash not having an earlier treat party, my son and I still came away from the event with TONS of candy thanks to the immersive and plentiful Treat Trails throughout the park! You’ll even find some wicked Disney Villains on some of the trails, so be on the lookout! My favorite Treat Trail was in the Disney Animation Building, featuring Oogie Boogie himself!

One of my favorite experiences at Oogie Boogie Bash was Villains Grove. The lighting and sound effects are mystical and enchanting… you won’t want to miss it! I recommend heading to Villains Grove earlier or later in the party for a shorter wait time. I was one of the very last people to experience it during a recent party, and I was able to walk through at my own pace.

I hope this information helps you enjoy your special night full of frightful fun! I can’t wait for the happy haunts to materialize for you soon!
