at halloween are you allowed to wear a costume? there is an article that a womon dressed up as a princess and it was not halloween they would not let her in with the costume on.

    Hi JoAnne,

Disney welcomes and encourages Guests of all ages to wear their favorite costumes when attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom.  In fact, the Disney characters will be sporting their favorite costumes too. How fun is that?!

MNSSHP is spooktacular fun for the whole family and is held on select evenings beginning September 14th through November 1st. For a complete list of dates, pricing and to purchase event tickets, click here.

Disney's dress code policy does not allow adults to wear costumes or clothing that can be viewed as representative of an actual Disney character. Their reasoning is simply and in my opinion, justified. Disney is a place where dreams come true. They go to great lengths and pay special attention so that every detail is taken care of and the magic isn't spoiled. Cinderella will always sign her name the same way everytime you meet her.  She'll always know her favorite color and has been schooled in princess etiquette.  Imagine a mother taking her 5 year old little girl who has been waiting to meet Cinderella most of her life. Her mom is also ecstatic watching this happen and just as she is about to have her chance, another "Cinderella" appears. I bet you'd be able to hear a pin drop as her little girl says "Mom, why are there two Cinderellas?" I hope that helps explain it a little more clearly.

    Wishing you magical memories :-)
