Do you guys usually utilize fast pass plus for what time during the day?

    Hi Annie,

Like so many things, how you use FastPass+ really depends on your family and your preferences, but for my family, the ability to book rides and attractions later in the afternoon was a huge plus on our Thanksgiving vacation together.

We tend to sleep in (my daughters are in high school and college) and get to the parks later in the day. We also tend to stay later at night. For our trip last month, I never booked a FastPass+ reservation for earlier than 3 p.m. My older daughter commented that it was great to be able to ride Toy Story Midway Mania! for the first time in years because we never get to Hollywood Studios in time to get a FastPass.

We had a similar experience with Soarin' at Epcot. We seldom get to the the park in time to get a FastPass and hadn't experienced the attraction in a while.

I also made some of our FastPasses for late-night at Magic Kingdom. One evening, we did the trifecta of the Mountains between 10 p.m. and midnight with the help of a FastPass for Space Mountain.

Even if you are an early riser, you may want to save your FastPass+ options for later in the day because lines tend to be shorter right after the parks open. Or you may want to spread them throughout the day to alternate standing in line with zipping to the front of line.

That's the beauty of the system: You can make it work best for you and your family's needs.

I hope that helps you as you try to assess what will be best for your family. As a side note, I also found that I could easily access My Disney Experience from my phone to make changes in our FastPass+ reservations as our plans changed. I made adjustments at least twice from the bus on the way to a park.

Please let me know if I can do anything else to assist as you finalize your plans. Enjoy!
