Hi Robert,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this question to us!
Guests in wheelchairs receive a variety of accommodations in the parks and resorts. Review the
Services for Guests with Disabilities paying particular attention to the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. There are guide maps and important information about attraction access for guests in wheelchairs or electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs). Some attractions may require the guest to transfer from the wheelchair to the attraction, so pay particular attention to that information.
Although guests in wheelchairs or ECVs can be accommodated without skipping the lines, I do suggest that you speak with a cast member in Guest Relations when you enter your first theme park. The cast member can explain possible accommodations. If you have a member of your party who cannot tolerate the traditional line queue, the Disability Access Service might be helpful.
Robert, when we have used this service in the past, we have been able to use it in addition to our Fast Pass+ selections. The service allows us to request a return time for a ride. Any member of the party can request the return time at the entrance to the attraction, but when you return, the person with the Disability Access Service must scan in for the ride first. If a cast member determines that this service is appropriate for a member of your party, then she or he will verify how many other members of your party can ride with the person with the Disability Access Service. This service was a lifesaver for my husband in the past!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
