Can any guest sign up for the YES program and what is the minimum age for participants?

    Hello, Kay,

The Disney Youth Education Series is something my family has added to our "Disney Bucket List."  It looks like an incredible adventure for younger guests.  As a teacher, I applaud any experience for kids that helps them to further their exploration of learning; and with all the wide variety of choices offered, they will have incredible opportunities.

The programs are available for elementary, middle/junior, and high school students with, I believe, a minimum age of 5 years old (by the way, there is a college program, too!).  However, you don't need to be part of an official school group to participate.  Individual Enrollment programs are offered for students who are not traveling in a group.  So to specifically answer your question, guests do need to be a student to participate.

If you have further questions about the program, I believe Disney Mom Jill has taken students to the program as well as Disney Mom Lori.  They would be happy to help you out and may be able to provide you with more insight having experienced the program directly.

Thank you so much for your question; please let us know if we can help you again!
