50s Prime Time Cafe

Hi. We have a group of 10 on our vacation. For an ADR on the day and time we needed at Prime Time Cafe, we had to split into two groups of 5 with reservations 10 minutes apart. Do you think it is possible our tables could still be next to each other?

    Hi Krista!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Wow - how exciting to be in the midst of planning a trip for such a large group!

50's Prime Time Café is one of my family's favorite restaurants. We all sit up taller and mind our manners! It certainly is possible that they can seat you at tables near each other, but given the table arrangements in the restaurant, they may not be able to accommodate the request. I suggest that you arrive at least 15-20 minutes early to speak with a Cast Member at the restaurant. Be sure that everyone in your party is present at check-in and be prepared to wait a little while. When traveling with other groups, we have experienced the same dilemma at various restaurants and the Cast Members have worked to seat us together!

As you consider those advanced dining reservations, also remember your other plans at Disney's Hollywood Studios and on Batuu. We often have a FastPass+ selection right after lunch or dinner, so we have to be mindful of the time. If you plan to battle the First Order on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, review the boarding group process for the dates of your visit and plan accordingly. We were fortunate on our last visit that our boarding group was called at a time that did not conflict with any of our other plans.

Krista, keep in mind that all Resistance fighters get hungry and that delays in getting seated could significantly extend your dining experience. So, you may want to allow them to seat you as quickly as possible even if those tables are not next to each other. We checked in 10 minutes late for one of our dining reservations on our last trip and I believe that late check-in threw off our meal experience by 30 minutes which then meant that we were too tired to do any attractions after dinner given the time.

Mind your manners, ask politely, and may the Force be with you as you try to keep your group together!

    Magic and memories,
